Description

The «Postauto-Tour» has become a well-known mountain biking package here in Grisons. With an ingenious route and timetable, you can travel almost the entire canton in three or four days. From Scuol, you head to the Münster Valley, then to the Puschlav and finally over the Engadine to Chur. The stages feature an extraordinarily proportion of single trails.

The «Postauto-Tour» is self-guided, using the scheduled runs of the local Post Bus services. This is the Standard «Postauto-Tour»; no guide required. The package does include a detailed, well-planed route and timetable. Hotel accommodation including breakfast and dinner and post bus rides are also organised; even luggage transport from one hotel to the next is included in the package. The Standard «Postauto-Tour» lasts three or four days, starting in Scuol and ending in Chur. Bus timetables make this package doable from late June to early October.

The package includes a detailed, well-planed route and timetable. Hotel accommodation including breakfast and dinner, post bus rides, and luggage transport are included. The Standard «Postauto-Tour» lasts three or four days, starting in Scuol and ending in Chur. Bus timetables make this package doable from late June to early October. No more than five people can be on the tour at a time.

The route covers a lot of single trails, including some of the most beautiful routes in Grisons. The focus here is on riding trails and experiencing the Alpine landscapes. The tour assumes an average riding technique and good fitness. The scheduled post bus runs are used for many of the climbs, but there will still be some ascents you'll have to master on your own. The «Postauto-Tour» is a typical all-mountain tour.

From 9 September to 20 October 2019, the days on which the tour can run is limited. (The Umbrail bus only runs on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
The Standard «Postauto-Tour» can only be booked via this platform in order to ensure capacity for post bus transports and smooth baggage transport. The journey from St Moritz to the Julier Pass does not use an officially scheduled route, but is instead only for tour participants. Due to the bike transport capacity of the post buses, the group size is limited to a maximum of five people per tour.

You will need to arrange your journey to Scuol and the return journey from Ilanz, Tiefencastel, or Chur.

Day 2:	Müstair – Umbrailpass – Bocchetta di Forcola – Lago di Cancano – Arnoga – Pass da Val Viola – Rif. Saoseo – Poschiavo incl. postbus shuttle from Müstair to Umbrailpass distance: 57 km uphill: 1445 m downhill: 2935 m
Day 3:	Poschiavo – Berninapass – Bernina Suot – Pontresina – St. Moritz – Julierpass – Bivio – Sur – Alp Flix – Savognin – Tiefencastel – Lenzerheide (– Chur) incl. postbus shuttle from Poschiavo to Berninapass, from St. Moritz to Julierpass and from Tiefencastel to Lenzerheide distance: 61 km uphill: 935 m downhill: 2730 m
Day 4:	Lenzerheide – Lain – Creusen – Schin-Weg – Parnegl – Thusis – Glaspass – Safien Platz – Stausee – Salatginas – Parstogn-Ruine Wackenau – Reichenau – Tamins – Felsberg – Chur incl. postbus shuttle from Thusis to Glaspass distance: 61 km uphill: 980 m downhill: 3010 m

Wieso können bloss maximal fünf Personen gleichzeitig auf die Tour?

Die Gruppengrösse ist begrenzt durch die Transportkapazität der Postautos. Diese können auf dem Heckträger maximal fünf Fahrräder transportieren.

Wie funktioniert der Gepäcktransport?

Du bekommst vorgängig die Gepäcketiketten per Post zugestellt. Mit dieser beschriftest du dein Gepäck für die jeweilige Transportstrecke mit dem richtigen Voucher. Dein Gepäck gibst du an der Reception ab und es wird dir direkt ins nächste Hotel transportiert.

Bis wann muss ich spätestens buchen?

Damit sämtliche Reisedokumente ausgestellt und die Transporte organisiert werden können, braucht Herbert eine Vorlaufzeit von fünf Tagen.
