Description

Ideally, you start the route in Tiefencastel and ride from here with the postal bus to Bivio, where the tour begins. It is also possible to pedal from the Engadin over the Julier, and then to head back to the tour by taking the train from Tiefencastel. In Bivio, follow the official mountain bike route at the beginning (Alpine Bike) downhill until after Marmorera. In the village, you leave the official track for a few metres and take the single trail marked as a hiking path in order to shorten the passage on the main road. A little after the dam, turn right and finally, taking an asphalt road, you will reach the village of Tigias on the Alp Flix. One now passes through the wonderful plateau, reaching the small mountain lake and climbing a few metres high on the alpine road, until the way branches off to the left of the single trail in the direction of Rona. Follow this, keeping to the left at a fork in the road and finally you will reach Ruigna. The way goes downhill through an enchanted wood, following along the Gelgia river to Savognin, and at the industrial quarter of Gravas, you finally ascend by the mountain road up to Del. The exquisite descent on Mon to Tiefencastel begins a little above the group of houses at the edge of the forest, making for an excellent conclusion to this tour.
