Description

The Bocchetta di Forcola is one of the most impressive singletrail descents in Alta Rezia. The trail meanders, though passably so, through seemingly impassable terrain.

The tour starts on the Umbrail pass, which is reached by postal bus. Immediately after the pass summit, a trail turns right toward Bocchetta di Forcola. You follow this pleasantly climbing path, until you will have to push your bike for the last few metres. After the Bocchetta, the route goes over the Bocchetta di Pedenolo to Laghi di Fraéle. The easy-to-ride trail leads through the middle of craggy terrain and is an impressive spectacle. Later, you reach the Passo Val Mora, passing on a first-class singletrail into Val Mora and climbing up to Döss Radond. Follow the sign-posted mountain bike route, but take wherever possible the singletrail alternatives. Once the back of the mountain has been reached far below, a singletrail loops away to the right. This entertaining path leads directly to the main road between Valchava and Sta. Maria – a true grand finale at the end.
