The Suvretta, the WM flow trail, and Trais Fluors are among the best that the Upper Engadine has to offer for mountain bikers. These highlights can be combined into a single route along the Corviglia Grand Tour. Without a doubt, it is one of the best single trail tours in the Alps.
The tour starts on the Piz Nair, but the mountain trains only run during the summer (from July to October). Starting from the summit, you will head by the single trail descent to Suvretta pass through a high alpine landscape. The mountain path over to the Munt da San Murrezzan is a formidable undertaking with plenty of steep, but traversable inclines to master. The view of the adjacent Bernina range is, by the way, particularly impressive from here. The world championship trail then begins at the mountain station of the chairlift, first as a „natural“ single trail, and then further down as a flow trail of first-class construction, with even a 360° turn built-in. The path leads up until slightly above the signal path, from which point you can trundle over to the Chantarella. Take the funicular up to the Corviglia, where you’ll launch into the second part of the tour over to Trais Fluors. Proceeding up a steep gravel road, you will reach the reservoir Lej Alv and then climb up a single trail to the Trais Fluors. Very fit mountain bikers might master this ascent while biking 90 percent of the time, however, most will have to push a little longer. When the mountain station of Trais Fluors track is reached, then another single trail has to be ascended a few metres further on. A bizarre lunar landscape lies at your feet here, far below the open valley bottom featuring the airfield of Samedan and the Piz Palu and Piz Bernina in the background. With the path winding down to the Munt da la Bes-cha, you follow a portion of the mountain trail on the left hand side, and then turn off soon after onto the Serpentine trail, which finally reaches its terminus at the bottom of the valley floor.
