Description

The route over the Fuorcla Campatsch is one of the most spectacular routes in the Lower Engadine, but the ascent includes a steep sliding passage.

The tour starts at the mountain station of the Motta-Naluns line. Alternatively, you can do the uphill ride from Scuol via Ftan and Prui. A steep gravel lane leads to the mountain station of the chair lift and further on slightly uphill to the Champatsch T-bar. From here, you have to push and carry your bike almost 300 meters uphill to reach Fuorcla Champatsch. The effort is worthwhile because of the exceptional rocky landscape. The saddle is the starting point for the long and varied descent into Val Sinestra. You reach Griosch at the foot of the famous Fimberpass and head downhill to Zuort. The route leads over several suspension bridges and a top-class trail, then further on to the bridge near Hotel Sinestra and the ridgeway over the ravine to Ramosch. Bike alongside the inn to continue on back to Scuol.
