The tour from Scuol to the Lais da Rims lake and over the Fuorcla da Rims into the Val Lischana valley is one of the most beautiful and roughest mountain biking tours in the Unterengadin region.
The tour starts unassumingly on the bike path leading out of the valley from Scuol. Things get more interesting in Sur En: The ascent through the Val d’Uina valley is steep and at points rough, but is doable. The alpine lane ends at the Uina Dadaint and turns into a rideable singletrail. Under the famous string of cliffs, however, you will have to dismount and push your bike through the imposing narrow part of the valley. Once past this stretch, things really get going. Here, you will have to shoulder your bike and fight your way along the high-alpine lakeside landscape of Lais da Rims lake until reaching the Fuorcla da Rims, the austere pass below the Piz Lischana. The payoff for this effort is soon to come. The singletrail through the Val Lischana valley covers almost 1700 meters. At first it is very technical and rough with a short section that must be done on foot, but it gains flow and becomes more and more fun, leading all the way down to the Gurlaina sport park on the edge of Scuol.
