The descent from the Furcletta to Arosa is considered one of the most beautiful trails in Graubünden. Combined with the Urdenfürggli the tour is one of Mittelbünden’s trail highlights.
The best place to start the ascent to Furcletta is Alvaneu. On the upper outskirts of town the narrow trail branches off to the left, passing the Aclas Davains to the da Creusch alp. The remaining 300 meters are a mix of riding and pushing. The last few metres in particular are considered too steep to climb in the saddle, but now the fun begins. From the Forcletta you head down the initially steep but then increasingly flowing singletrack through the romantic wild Welschtobel. You pass the Ramoz Hut and follow this super trail for the next five kilometres. In Arosa you then take country roads up to the Hörnli - alternatively you can take the Hörnlibahn. The same applies to the singletrack route to Urdenfürggli. This wonderful trail has the disadvantage that on some sections you’ll have to get off and push. The descent to Lenzerheide initially follows the gravel road to Scharmoin (middle station) and one of the freeride trails of the bike park to the bottom terminus of the Rothorn line.
Tip: Anyone who integrates the Hörnlibahn in Arosa shortens the tour by 8 kilometers and reduces the altitude by 550 meters.
