Poschiavo is known for the Bernina tour, the Col d’Anzana and San Romerio. The valley has much more to offer, however, such as the Selva trail.
Starting at the Poschiavo railway station, ride a few meters in the direction of San Carlo, then bear left and ride uphill on the lane that is marked as a mountain biking route. You will pass by the pretty little hamlets of Massela and Vederscion before reaching the highest point of the tour, the bridge over the river in the Val d’Ursé valley. This will bring you to an altitude of over 600 meters. The tour continues along the marked path (route 431) and leads to a trail to the Selva plateau, on which there is a small chapel. At this point, leave the official route and turn onto a wonderful singletrail (a tricky ride in wet conditions) that leads directly back to Poschiavo.
