Senda Sursilvana
Description

The Senda Sursilvana is originally a seven-day long hike through the Surselva region. By making some minor route changes, it becomes a wonderful bike tour for everyone. The Senda Sursilvana can be accomplished in two days by mountainbike.

It starts in the Oberalppass and heads through the Surselva region to Chur. The journey begins with a climb to the Tiarms Pass where the track leads into Val Val. This leads to Milez where you can then head up to a first-class track at Liets. Incidentally, there are wonderful views of the upper part of Surselva from the apex. Above Sedrun there is another singletrail section before you roll down the small roads to Disentis. This leads via Disla down to the campsite on the banks of the Rhine and the river banks and on to Cumpadials. A combination of roads and tracks lead from Sumvitg to Rabius and finally on to Trun. The road then climbs up towards Brigels. This half of the route can be managed easily, Brigels is the staging point.

The second day begins with a track at the golf course, then head down some small roads via Andiast Pigniu and up to Siat, Ruschein and finally on to Falera. This section of Senda Sursilvana is indeed scenic, but has little to offer in terms track fun and leads exclusively to wide, but small roads. From Falera, head on to Laax Murschetg where the route becomes more exciting. It takes you past the Caumasee and the viewing platform in Conn high above the Rhine Gorge, and you can then follow an attractive singletrail to Tamins and along the banks of the Rhine to Domat/Ems. Now take the fun-filled track on the banks of the river and follow it to Rossboden just outside Chur.
