Description

The classic version of the tour through the Val d‘Uina leads through the Val S-charl into Münstertal and onward over the Schlinigpass into the spectacular cliffside path.

From Scuol, take the long ascending way through the Val S-charl to Alp Astras. The following single trail onto the Pass da Costainas is very passable: the descent is very steep at the beginning, but then very quickly levels off into a forest path to Lü. More attractive is the detour to Alp Champatsch with the single trail version to Lü. Now you climb to Alp Sot and follows the mountain trail to slightly below Alp Terza. The imminent descent to Müstair is world class! Later, you reach Laatsch on the bike path and climb high to Schlinig and to the bumpy mountain path to Sesvennahütte. This is the starting point for the Val d’Uina descent a bit past Schlinig Pass. The single track leads along a massive cliff wall, and for safety reasons it is recommended to push your bike. After the tricky stretches, the path gains more flow and takes a fast-paced course through Arvenwälder to Alp Uina Dadaint. From there, the path is as steep as it is fast. The route through the wild lower Val d’Uina valley leads back to Sur En.

Shuttles:  Postbus to S-charl

Tips: Ride the tour in two days with overnight accomodation in Nauders, Resia, St. Valentin and at the Sesvennahütte
