Description

In the winters season, it’s very popular to ride into the Val Fex valley in a horse-drawn carriage. In the summer season, the area is just as attractive, but a mountain bike makes for a better ride.

The tour into the Val Fex valley starts in St. Moritz Bad, where you make the climb to the Olympiaschanze ski jump and then ride via Lej Nair lake and Lej Zuppò lake to Surlej. From there, ride uphill on a forest lane almost to Alp Surlej. Directly below the alp, take the single track that turns off to the right. The route leads over a hilly course to Alp Prasüra and further on to a lane leading into the Val Fex valley. Follow this lane uphill until reaching Alp Muot Selvas, which has an inn. The return trip begins along the same route, but turns off onto a trail on the left side of the valley to reach Sils-Maria. The lakeside path leads back to Surlej and along the Inn river to St. Moritz Bad.
