Description
Septimerpass, Südflucht Graubünden
Description

The tour starts in Bivio, which is reachable from Engadin via the Postbus. It begins with an alpine lane that leads 540 meters uphill to Septimer Pass. From there, the rest of the tour is pure downhill fun. The single track descent is rough and challenging; a bike with decent spring suspension is recommended. Later, there is a stretch on an alpine lane that leads to a trail, which will take you to the village of Casaccia. The route into the Bergell valley mostly follows the marked mountain bike route. It is a mix of single tracks and forest paths; you will only have to ride on the main road for a few meters. You will pass by the picturesque hamlets of Promontogno and Bondo until reaching Castasegna, where you can take the Postbus to St. Moritz. From there, you can ride on the bike path to Chiavenna, where you can once again take the Postbus.
