Val d'Uina
Description

The Val d‘Uina is considered one of the most impressive mountain bike routes in the Alps. The variant running over the Fuorcla Sesvenna is the crisp version.

From Scuol, you climb on the mountain road up to S-charl, at which point you should consider taking the shuttle with the postal bus – the rise will still be hard enough. This leads to an alpine road to Alp Sesvenna and then into a mixture of pushing your bike and driving it towards Fuorcla Sesvenna. The last part of the climb is a steep trail, for which you will have to carry your bike. As hard as the climb is, the descent afterwards is equally enjoyable, running through the high alpine terrain to Sesvenna hut. This is the starting point for the Val d’Uina descent a bit past Schlinig Pass. The singletrail leads along a massive cliff wall, and for safety reasons it is recommended to push your bike. After the tricky stretches, the path gains more flow and takes a fast-paced course through Arvenwälder to Alp Uina Dadaint. From there, the path is as steep as it is fast. The route through the wild lower Val d’Uina valley leads back to Sur En.
