Description
Lej da Staz
Description

From St Moritz Bad, you climb to Stazersee and trundle over Punt Muragl to the Pontresina Train Station. Here, the long but gentle ascent into the Roseg Valley begins. The goal is the restaurant at the end of the road with its first-rate view of the glaciers of the Bernina range. The return trip to Pontresina takes place on the ascent route because the parallel single trail (unfortunately) has a ban on bikes. Just before the Pontresina train station, turn off to the left, then ascend directly to the Stazersee and finally you will arrive at the Alp da Staz. The flowing single trail leads back to the starting point and forms the wonderful conclusion of an impressive and yet technically easy mountain bike tour.
